LAST WEEK, LAST CLASS.

It was the last week for all diploma students for having class as next week study week begins. At this time, there were only 2 feelings – one is happy because there is no class more and another one is scared because final exam is just around the corner.
Last class means we have to submit all our assignment that being postponed before this. Hehe. For AIS 130, my class had to submit a power point for one of our assignment. The title given was ‘My Family’ with theme Eid. At the beginning, the lecturer asks us to present it but we didn’t have enough time. For BEL 120 class, we were very relax on the last day which on Wednesday. Miss Haniza asked us to settle our carry marks and follow her on her blog, Haniza Is a Teacher.
We also didn’t miss the time to take photo with her. These pictures can be a sweet moment to remember. Am I’m right? Hehe.
At first, I planned to stay the whole week hare, at colleague so that I can spend more time to study. Unfortunately, my friend told me a ghost story, experience by her roommate’s friend and she successfully make me scared to stay there alone. So when I finished curriculum test on Saturday morning, I called my father to fetch me.

CAMPUS ELECTION

On 20th September 2012, all UiTM branches university held an election to choose the student representative council president. Each course presents about 3 to 4 students to compete in the election.
I’m so excited to vote for one of Accountancy candidates as we can only vote for those who in the same course as we are. The campaign to promote their credibility to attract others’ attention was held for a week.  On 18th September 2012, start at 9 at night, there was an open speech held in Speaker Corner. The purpose of this speech is to give the last chance for all candidates to promote themselves to vote them on 20th September.
The election began at 8 o’clock in the morning until 5 in the evening. As my class was held at BK Sri Pegaga, so my friends and I came to Sri Temenggung Hall to carry out our responsibilities.
THE QUESTION IS: WHO WE VOTE?

NO. JUST KEEP IT SECRET! Hehehe   :P

DINNER + FORUM

On 29th August 2012, PERSIDA held an Annual Dinner for the entire Diploma in Accountancy students. On the same day and time, Sector C held a forum entitled Efficiency Studies Technique. This forum was compulsory for all of the part one students. So, I decided to go for the forum as I do not have to pay for it. Hehehe.

The forums began at 9 at night. The early birds will get drinks and food. The forum was led by a lecturer, a motivator and an excellent student. They gave a lot of tips on how to manage times efficiently, how to manage a study group and how to maintain the good marks for the final exam.

One of the speakers, a best student who gets Dean List for the whole semester in her diploma said she does not procrastinate in study. At the beginning of semester, she already tries to find past semester questions for each subject.
I hope I could be like her, get Dean List for the whole semester in diploma.

ONE THING THAT I ALWAYS TRY TO ACCEPT IS ‘IF SHE CAN DO IT, WHY I’M NOT?

THE ROOMMATE

Hello there! Did you guys enjoy your weekend? I hope so. Today I want to talk about roommate.  But this is not about ‘The Roommate’ movie.

Everyone has roommate and usually we will get a senior roommate when we are in part one. For those who get two people a room, it might be easier than those who get four people a room. When we are in university, we didn’t know who our roommate, from where he comes, how’s he behave and how kind he is. It likes staying in the same room with a stranger at first. So it is really important for us to get to know with her, and try to get along with her in a good way.

It doesn’t matter if she is two or three years older than us as I thought I could be more polite and respect her because she is my senior. It is really important to respect each other and cooperate as a team. Me, myself always assume my roommate as my sister as she is at the same age with my sister.

For example, when my roommate has an exam tomorrow, off course she wants to study and sleep well on that night. So what can I do is provide a quiet surrounding in the room and not stay up till late. So that she could be comfortable to study and perform well in the exam. When we respect other’s publicity, people will do the same thing to us.

Even though we get a peer roommate, we still need to respect each other. Try to avoid from having argument or crisis with our roommate because we will stay with her for one semester. And off course one semester will be a long time for those who doesn’t like her roommate, right? Hehehe.

I’m so grateful to have a very kind roommate, even though I’ve been scolded by her once, but it is my mistakes and I admit it.

TRUST ME!
WHAT WE GIVE WE WILL GET IT BACK

When we respect others, they will respect us. Insha’Allah we will get a nice roommate for next semester :)

Happy Eid 2012

Hey guys and girls! So how’s your Eid celebration with your beloved family? I’m sure you have a great time with your family, friends and lover. Have you? Hehehe. For this year, my family and I celebrate the Eid at my mother’s village in Felda Pasak, Kota Tinggi, Johor. We went home on the last day of Ramadhan, right after all of my family members went home from university. It’s the second year we celebrate the Eid without my sister as she studies in United Kingdom in ACCA. InsyaAllah, this year is the last year for her to complete her studies there.

We went home early in the morning so we can reach home early to help the other family members cook for Eid meals at the village.

What are the Eid meals? Why it’s so special?

Actually, there’s nothing special about Eid meals as we can eat soto or lontong every day for breakfast. But what make its different is we will eat the meals in the morning, with the whole family, before we go for Eid pray. Eid meals are ketupat, lemang, sambal kacang, lodeh, and rendang.

Early in the morning, all of the male family members will gathers at living room to recite Takbir Raya, which lead by Pak Long, while the female family members will prepare the meals to eat. After the takbir has finished, all of us will make a circle and it’s time for seek for forgiveness. This is the time for us to cry out and admit all mistakes that we did. Hehehe. Then,  the men will go to the mosque to perform Eid pray after we enjoy the meals together.

That morning is a memorable moments for all of us. Just after that we went to relatives’ house. I hope all of us will never stop repeating this great moment for us to share together.  :)

TEST & QUIZ SEASON

It almost the end of semester and the final exam is just around the corner. As we all know, these students will never turn fear until there is ‘exam mood’ around them. How do I know? Because I am a student too and I felt that such of way. So all of my lecturers asked all of us to print out all past semester exam papers and we have to do it in class. Till that I know how the exam papers look like and the format and how to answer the paper with correct scheme.

At first, I don’t really mind for the quiz as it gave only a few marks. And I pay more attention for the test. But it doesn’t give so much different because everything that we have to go through gives effect to the carry marks. So what we have to do, I mean me myself is to study continuously so that I can be at a stable condition.

This is what makes its different compare to school assessment. When we remind back, it doesn’t matter if we did bad for the monthly test as long as we perform in the final test. Different from what we see at university, everything that we go through will affect the carry marks. These include our attitude, attendance, assignment and quiz or even test.

SO GUYS!
LET US FIGTH TOGEHTHER FOR THIS COMING EXAM!

FASTING AT UNIVERSITY  :)

Hey there. This is my first time fasting without family. I think it's a good experience to break the fast with friends, after we finished class at six in the evening.

Basically, its just a usual activity that we go through as the other days. What make its different is we have to buy our meals on our own and either break the fast together or on our own at our room. I am so grateful as my colleague is just beside a new food court, Intan Food Court. So I don't have to walk far away just for buying meals.

Usually, I am so lazy to follow my father to go to bazar Ramadhan. So when I stay here at Segamat, I have to buy food on my own or else I have nothing to eat. There was a lot of food sold at bazar such as nasi tomato, char kuey teow, and pudding. There was also a lot of drinks with colourful colour. The price was very suitable with students' standard. I have break my fast with friends for about 3 times at IFC. We bought rice and tomyam at Juara Ikan Bakar's stall.  There was a lot of people took order with the worker as the meals were very delicious and I think it's very valuable.

I hope I could remember this great moment till I finished my Diploma and keep it as a very expensive experience as a part 1 student
